As part of Terrigal Men’s Shed support for worthy causes we are proud that we are able to sponsor the son of one of our members in his participation in the 2019 Shitbox Rally to raise funds for Cancer Council of Australia.
Derek Bailey’s son Craig and his co-driver Jeff are attempting to cross Australia from the Indian Ocean to the Pacific Ocean in the Shitbox Rally, driving a 30 year old Volvo 240. The object of the rally is one of endurance, and for all those taking part to complete the rally in order to raise funds for the Cancer Council of Australia. The target for this years rally is to raise $2,000,000.
The rally is 250 cars strong, it will take 10 days and will start in Perth, go via Uluru, and finish in Sydney, with 2790km’s of the journey being on unsealed roads.
A big thank you from Derek and his son to Terrigal Community Men’s Shed for sponsoring their team the Old School Ravers.
