Central Coast Leagues Club was the venue for our 2017 annual dinner and yet again they did us proud with an excellent variety of dishes. A wonderful meal was followed by a few short speeches and the awards to members of the Shed. Sheddie of the Month

We now have a regular award "Sheddie of the Month", the first one being awarded in December 2016 at the end of year party. The award is nominated by the members to an individual of the Shed who they think has made a special contribution to the Shed in some way. So if you consider someone deserves "Sheddie of the Month" you can place your nomination in the red box, the box you put your gold coin donation in. Your nomination should include your name and the person you wish to nominate along with the reason for nomination. (more…)

Shed Clean Up

Shed Clean Up

During our break over the Christmas period the maintenance crew were busy with the shed clean up and de-clutter. Essential maintenance was carried out, along with cleaning and safety checks of our machinery. Thank you to all that contributed on our clean up days, your efforts are greatly appreciated. The thicknesser planer was striped down, cleaned and gearbox given an oil change, then new blades fitted. Good job done so we thought, but why is it not planing smoothly. So strip down again, check and re-tighten the blades, but still no improvement. So what can be the problem? Well after much thought and deliberation it was discovered that the incorrect blades had been supplied by the manufacturer and sourcing the correct ones may take some time. So it was strip…

OH&S
Chris has been hard at it over the last six months or so and has been reporting to the Committee on a regular basis. Your humble Scribe has been at fault in not passing on these reports - apologies to all!!!
